Keeping ourselves healthy is a serious business but that doesn’t mean we can’t have a laugh while we’re doing it!
Broxburn Family Centre’s Health Group have learnt about lots of different factors which affect our health, including nutrition, exercise, substance misuse and mental ill health. They found out that research has shown that laughter, being playful and socialising with others can be very beneficial for our mental health, so they thought they’d try it for themselves. Their session included making funny faces, playing silly games and watching comedy clips and all felt a lift afterwards as a result.
So why not give it a try… grown-ups can have fun too!
